Following is a list of answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.

Is the price per person or per apartment?

All Assaroe Falls Self Catering Apartments are priced on a per apartment basis

How do I Pay?

For Studios, two and three bedroom apartments a non-refundable deposit of €100 is required to secure your booking. For Assaroe Falls Penthouse a non-refundable deposit of €200 is required. The outstanding balance is payable no later than 28 days prior to arrival date. Bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival date & special offers must pay in full at time of booking.

Do I have to pay a security deposit?

Yes, a security deposit is required to gain access to our Assaroe Falls Self Catering Apartments properties. This deposit is returned to you in full on your departure providing that the houses are left in a clean and tidy condition. (In some cases your security deposit will be returned to you by post within 14 days of departure).

A security deposit is required to cover any breakages or damage that may occur during your stay. A credit card number, post dated cheque or cash is accepted. For studios, two and three bedroom apartments, the security deposit is €100.00. For Penthouse Suites the security deposit is €200.00. A full set of terms & conditions will be issued on receipt of final payment of your holiday.

Do I need to bring my own bed linen?

No, apartments are supplied with duvets and all bed linen and towels.  You can pre-book one of our cots and high chairs for the duration of your stay if required. Linen for our cots is provided. Guests will need to bring bed linen for travel cots not booked through Assaroe Falls. 

What facilities are available in the apartment?

All apartments have fully equipped kitchens most of which include microwaves and dishwashers. Also included are washing machine and dryers. All apartments have TV’s in the living rooms. A travel cot and highchair can also be pre-booked prior to arrival for a fee of €20 per week and €10 for short breaks.

Is there an additional charge for electricity?

Electricity costs will be metered and paid for at the end of your stay with us at Assaroe Falls 

How early do I need to book?

We recommend that you book as early as possible especially if you are planning your holiday for the busy months of July and August. Ireland has numerous bank holidays during the summer season and these tend to be booked up at an early stage.

Do I require a credit card to book online?

Yes if you wish to make a booking on line a credit card is required. In the event of you not possessing a credit card we will hold your booking for 7 working days until we receive the appropriate deposit by post or bank transfer. Your deposit is payable to Assaroe Falls Self Catering Apartments by cheque, postal order or bankers draft.

When do I pay in full for my holiday?

The balance of monies payable for your stay is expected 4 weeks prior to your arrival. We will contact you to remind you.

What happens if I need to cancel or change my reservation?

Any changes to your reservation must be made as early as possible by phone, fax or e-mail.

In the event of a cancellation, deposits are non-refundable but at times they may be used for a booking at another stage. In the event of a no-show we are obliged to hold all monies paid to us. In the event where the balance has not been paid we will charge the full amount of your stay to your credit card.

In the event that you wish to cancel your booking, the following charges will apply:

28 to 15 days prior to arrival – forfeit €40. non refundable deposit.
14 to 8 days prior to arrival – 50%; of rental charge
7 days or less to arrival – 100%; of rental charge

What facilities are available in the locality?

Assaroe Falls Self Catering Apartments are centrally located just two minutes walk from Ballyshannon town centre, immediate facilities include the Ballyshannon Leisure Centre and Slevins Department Store as well as numerous pubs and restaurants. Within driving distance, Assaroe Falls Self Catering Apartments are located conveniently to several beaches along the South Donegal coast line as well as an abundance of beautiful countryside, historical tourist attractions, golf, fishing, horse riding and surfing. You can drive and discover the neighbouring counties of Sligo, Fermanagh and Leitrim as well as taking time to explore what Donegal has to offer.

What time can I check-in?

On receiving your balance of payment we will send you an information page containing the name and number of your Assaroe Falls Contact along with certain rules. Check-in time is normally from 3pm – 5pm. We would also ask that you phone ahead the day before your arrival to give your Assaroe Falls Contact an indication of your check in time. If you require an early check-in, this must be pre-arranged.

What time do I have to check-out?

Check-out time is strictly 10am during the Summer months of July & August. At other times we try to be as flexible as possible. Late check outs must be pre-arranged with the onsite supervisor. There will be a charge of €100 for any unauthorised late departures. We ask that apartments be left as they were found.

Accommodation Capacity

For insurance and fire safety reasons, the total number of clients staying in each home must not exceed the maximum capacity as agreed at time of booking. It is important that you check with Assaroe Falls Self Catering Apartments in advance, to ensure that you do not exceed the limit, which applies to the accommodation you have booked. Failure to do so may invalidate your booking.

Keys

Only 1 key per apartment will be issued on arrival. The key must always be left at reception when leaving the building and returned to reception on departure. A charge of €100 per key will apply for any lost keys.

Special Requests

Requests for cots, high-chairs and fold up beds must be made at time of booking, whilst we will endeavour to do all possible to meet your request, it can not be guaranteed. Fold up beds are not suitable for adults. These are chargeable items.

Cleaning, Linen & Towels

Initial supply of bed linen and towels are provided for your apartment. Towels for use off-site are not supplied by Assaroe Falls Self Catering Apartments. We recommend you bring your own towels for use off-site. If extra cleaning or changes in bed linen and/or towels is required please contact reception with your requirements. These are chargeable items.

Complaints

At Assaroe Falls Self Catering Apartments, we pride ourselves on our high standards and the quality of service offered to all our guests. In the unlikely event of a problem arising or if you wish to make a complaint, please raise this immediately with the Manager on duty or in writing within 14 days of departure from the facility.

Lost Property

No responsibility will be taken for articles lost on, or stolen from, the property..

Access To Apartment

Management reserve the right to visit the apartments at any time.

Pets

We regret that pets, with the acceptance of guide dogs,  or prior permission, with management , pets are not allowed in the facility.

What is your minimum letting period

Our minimum requirement is 1 nights stay  but on bank holiday weekend 3 nights is the minimum stay available. This can be weekend or midweek (depending on availability) .

Can I purchase a gift voucher for Assaroe Falls Self Catering Apartments Holiday Homes?

Yes, you can buy Gift Vouchers for any denomination from €50 up. Vouchers are open and can be used towards any Assaroe Falls Self Catering Apartments location. Payment can be made by Visa, Master Card, cheque or bank transfer.
